Why I love PEM at Brown
What I love most about training at Brown is the breadth and diversity of clinical cases we see, all within the emergency department. The wide range of pathology and acuity means that every shift brings something new and constantly challenges me to grow as a clinician. I have also really appreciated how supportive and collaborative the entire emergency department team is, from the faculty to the multidisciplinary team members and learners I work alongside every day. Everyone brings a unique perspective and is genuinely dedicated to helping me strengthen my skills, contributing to an environment that is warm, welcoming, and focused on learning.
Why I love Rhode Island
Rhode Island has always been an easy escape for a change of scenery, whether heading down to the coast or spending time in Providence. Growing up in Boston, I have always enjoyed visiting, and now that I’m spending more time here, I’m excited to discover more of what makes the state so special. I love that there’s a little bit of everything—from beautiful beaches and charming coastal towns to great restaurants, culture, and things to do in Providence. I also love how easy it is to get to other New England cities, making Rhode Island a great home base for exploring the region.
